Our diagnostic assessments, which identify dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, involve psychometric testing, checklists, personal history taking and diagnostic interviewing.
The assessment process takes between 2 and 3 hours. A written report of the findings is normally ready within 10 working days. This report goes beyond a simple diagnosis, highlighting each person's unique strengths and including specific recommendations for effective support to help them thrive in academic and professional environments.
Our assessments are performed by British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Psychologists, all of whom are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We understand that some people feel anxious about being assessed, and to help people feel more comfortable we offer a complimentary, no commitment consultation. Beyond explaining the assessment process, these initial conversations offer reassurance - a chance to explain that a diagnosis can be empowering and lead to profound improvements in academic and professional success.
The first step in the assessment process is the completion and return of necessary questionnaires and checklists, which serve as crucial preparation for an effective and accurate assessment.
The session itself, which can be held in person or remotely via video call, includes cognitive and other psychometric tests, reading, writing and spelling assessments, and a diagnostic interview.
